Method: Moon sign, gochar, Kundli

Moon sign, not Sun sign

Rashi in this product means Chandra Rashi: the sidereal (Lahiri) 30° sign the Moon occupied at birth. Western astrology usually identifies people by Sun sign. They are not the same.

Western Sun-sign dates — NOT your Vedic Rashi.

• Mesha / Aries: March 21 – April 19
• Vrishabha / Taurus: April 20 – May 20
• Mithuna / Gemini: May 21 – June 20

• Simha / Leo: July 23 – August 22

Gochar versus Kundli

Monthly and yearly pages are Moon-sign gochar sketches, identical for everyone who shares that Chandra Rashi. A full reading also needs Lagna, Dasha, and birth time.

Honest limit

ChatPandit v1 is a structured Vedic content + validation + chat product. It is not yet an astronomical calculator. The valuable part at launch is: correct categories, transit-based monthly/yearly sketches for all 12 Rashi, and a Nakshatra check so users do not mix incompatible data. When you add a real Lahiri ephemeris API, replace Tab A on Find-Rashi with actual Moon longitude → Rashi + Nakshatra + pada. Until then, never pretend the site “calculated the stars.”
